Sacramento overcomes 4-0 deficit, snaps eight-game losing streak
West Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento River Cats (6-11) rallied back from a 4-0 deficit to walk off against the Las Vegas 51s (9-9) 7-6 Sunday afternoon at Raley Field. Christian Arroyo provided the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th, snapping the River Cats eight-game losing streak.
Arroyo had four hits on the afternoon, going 4-for-6 with two RBI while raising his batting average to .446 for the season. He now has two four-hit games on the season and a team-leading 12 RBI.
The River Cats scored all of their runs against the Las Vegas bullpen starting in the sixth inning. Mike Morse, in his second game with the River Cats, played seven innings in left field and went 1-for-4 at the plate with an RBI-double. Drew Stubbs also had two RBI, including a bases-loaded sacrifice fly that nearly left the ballpark.
Tyler Beede (1-0, 3.78) will take the mound tomorrow for the River Cats as Las Vegas sends right-hander Tyler Pill (0-0, 0.00) to the hill. First pitch is set for 7:05 pm (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN
