Las Vegas Raiders Announce Transactions

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Las Vegas Raiders have made the following transactions, the club announced Wednesday.

Phillips: Returns to the Raiders after spending a portion of the 2019 campaign with the Silver and Black, appearing in four contests and registering four tackles (two solo), tallying an additional three on special teams…Originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2019 before signing to the Raiders’ practice squad ahead of Week 1….Spent five years at Oklahoma State (2014-18), playing four seasons and appearing in 42 contests, compiling 221 tackles (146), including 23 for loss, 6.5 sacks, three INTs including two returned for TDs, six passes defensed, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries…As a senior in 2018, was named a team captain and earned team MVP honors, while also garnering All-Big 12 recognition after posting 98 tackles, the sixth-most in the Big 12 that season.

Young: Enters his 12th season in the NFL after most recently spending parts of 2019 with the San Francisco 49ers…Has spent time with the Miami Dolphins (2016-18), Jacksonville Jaguars (2013-15) and Buffalo Bills (2011-13) after originally being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round (179th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft…Career totals include 92 games played with 21 starts…Prior to the NFL, was a four-year starter at Notre Dame (2006-09), starting in all 50 games, including 40 at left tackle and 10 at right tackle.

Seymour: Played four years at Rutgers (2016-19), playing in 46 career contests with 41 starts…Made all of his collegiate starts at right tackle after moving to the offensive line as a redshirt freshman…As a senior in 2019, started in all 12 contests and was recognized as the David Bender Trophy award winner as the team’s premier offensive lineman…Was also named Academic All-Big Ten.

Oakland Raiders Sign LB Brandon Marshall

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent LB Brandon Marshall, the club announced Tuesday.

Marshall returns to the Raiders after signing with the club this past offseason as an unrestricted free agent. Originally a fifth-round selection (142nd overall) by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2012 NFL Draft, Marshall spent the last six seasons (2013-18) with the Denver Broncos and now enters his eighth year in the league. Marshall has appeared in 74 career contests and made 63 starts during his first seven seasons, totaling 412 tackles (301 solo), 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, 21 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. In seven playoff appearances including four starts, he has compiled 20 stops (seven), two passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Last season, Marshall appeared in 11 games and made seven starts with the Broncos, totaling 42 stops (22) and one pass defensed. Over his six seasons with the Broncos, Marshall recorded three years with at least 100 tackles, two of which led the club in 2014 and 2017. In 2015, Marshall posted 101 tackles (76), starting in all 16 contests for the Broncos in addition to three postseason starts.

A native of Las Vegas, Nev., Marshall was a four-year starter from 2008-11 at Nevada. He recorded 259 tackles (145), including 40 for loss, six sacks, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries while with the Wolf Pack. 

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived LB Justin Phillips.

Phillips joined the team’s practice squad after the roster cut-down day before being elevated to the club’s active roster ahead of Week 4. In three contests with the Raiders, Phillips totaled four tackles (two solo) on defense and added another three stops on the special teams unit.

Oakland Raiders Announce Practice Squad

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed the following 10 players to their practice squad, the club announced Monday. RB Damarea CrockettLB Justin Phillips and TE Eric Saubert are the only practice squad signees that were not with the team during training camp this year.

Crockett: Originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent this past May…Played three seasons (2016-18) at Missouri, appearing in 29 games over his career…Recorded 2,252 rushing yards and 19 TDs on 380 rushing attempts, adding 137 receiving yards and two additional scores…Posted 709 rushing yards and seven TDs on 147 carries as a senior, adding 12 receptions for 88 yards and a receiving TD.
