Las Vegas Raiders Announce Undrafted Free Agent Signings

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed the following four undrafted free agents, the club announced Tuesday.

Bowers: Played four years at Penn State, seeing action in 26 games with two starts…Career totals included 17 career receptions for 279 yards and five TDs…As a senior in 2019, was selected to the All-Big Ten team after appearing in 13 contests and with two starts, logging career highs in receptions (10), receiving yards (214) and TDs (three).

Harper: Played two years at Southern Illinois after transferring from Oklahoma State…In his two years at Southern Illinois, played in 21 games and made 15 starts, compiling 88 tackles (72 solo), including one for loss, a half-sack, two INTs, 20 passes defensed and one forced fumble…As a senior in 2019, played in a career-high 11 contests with 10 starts, posting 42 stops (30), including one for loss, two INTs and 14 passes defensed en route to Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention recognition after ranking 17th in the nation with 1.3 passes defensed per game. 

McCullough: Played four years at Ohio State, appearing primarily as the program’s long snapper…Handled long-snapping duties in 54-of-55 contests during his collegiate career, missing just one game due to illness…Was successful on 577 consecutive snaps and was named a finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as a senior, an award given annually to the nation’s top long-snapper, after tying a career high with 14 games played.

White: Played four years at UNLV, appearing in 43 games and making 29 starts for the program…Career totals include 201 tackles (124 solo), including 18 for loss, 3.5 sacks, nine INTs, 15 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and one fumble recovery…Named to the UNLV All-Decade Team at linebacker after finishing sixth in Rebels history in INTs and third in forced fumbles…As a senior in 2019, started all 12 contests and was named to the Butkus Award watch list, while being recognized as All-Mountain West honorable mention after posting 79 stops (54), including 8.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, there INTs, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Oakland Raiders Announce Reserve/Future Signings

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed the following six players to Reserve/Future contracts, the club announced Monday.

All six signees finished the season on the Raiders practice squad.

Oakland Raiders Sign Olsen Pierre and Eric Tomlinson and Promote Nick Nelson

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agents DL Olsen Pierre and TE Eric Tomlinson and have promoted CB Nick Nelson from the practice squad, the club announced Wednesday.

Pierre, a 6-foot-4, 293-pound defensive tackle in his third year in the NFL, joins the Raiders having spent the first nine games of the 2019 campaign with the New York Giants. Pierre was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2015 before spending the majority of his rookie campaign on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad. He was later signed as a reserve/future free agent by the Cardinals in 2016 and spent three seasons (2016-18) on the club’s active roster. Since entering the league, Pierre has appeared in 33 games and made eight starts, totaling 50 tackles (35 solo), 7.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Tomlinson, a 6-foot-6, 263-pound fourth-year tight end joins the Silver and Black after appearing in three contests with the New York Giants this season and an additional two with the New England Patriots. Tomlinson was originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Houston Texans, where he spent all of 2015 and a portion of 2016 on the club’s practice squad before signing to the New York Jets (2016-18). Over his career, Tomlinson has appeared in 41 contests and made 31 starts, tallying 17 receptions for 194 yards and one touchdown.

Nelson, originally the club’s fourth-round selection (110th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft, re-joins the active roster having appeared in 11 games as a rookie, making three starts and compiling 17 tackles (11 solo), one pass defensed and one fumble recovery. 

Additionally, the Raiders have signed TE Paul ButlerLB Te’von Coney and OL Kyle Kalis to the team’s practice squad.

In a corresponding move, the team has released TE Cole Wick from its practice squad.

Oakland Raiders Sign DE Kasim Edebali

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed DE Kasim Edebali, the club announced Wednesday.

Edebali, a 6-foot-2, 253-pound defensive end, joins the Raiders for his sixth year in the NFL after entering the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent and spending his first three seasons (2014-16) with the New Orleans Saints. Edebali would go on to spend the 2017 campaign with the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions and most recently appeared in action with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018. Over his career, Edebali has appeared in 62 contests and made two starts, logging 49 tackles (36 solo), eight sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

A native of Hamburg, Germany, Edebali has appeared in 16 contests in three different campaigns and set a single-season career high of five sacks in 2016 with the Saints. 

Edebali played his collegiate ball at Boston College, appearing in 49 contests and totaling 166 tackles (88). 11 sacks, 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. 

Additionally, the Raiders have signed OL Kyle Kalis to the team’s practice squad.

Kalis is a 6-foot-4, 306-pound offensive lineman that entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2017. He appeared in three games for the Indianapolis Colts that season after being claimed by the club from the Redskins. Last season, the former Michigan Wolverine appeared in four games with the Cleveland Browns.
