Las Vegas Raiders Announce Undrafted Free Agent Signings

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed the following four undrafted free agents, the club announced Tuesday.

Bowers: Played four years at Penn State, seeing action in 26 games with two starts…Career totals included 17 career receptions for 279 yards and five TDs…As a senior in 2019, was selected to the All-Big Ten team after appearing in 13 contests and with two starts, logging career highs in receptions (10), receiving yards (214) and TDs (three).

Harper: Played two years at Southern Illinois after transferring from Oklahoma State…In his two years at Southern Illinois, played in 21 games and made 15 starts, compiling 88 tackles (72 solo), including one for loss, a half-sack, two INTs, 20 passes defensed and one forced fumble…As a senior in 2019, played in a career-high 11 contests with 10 starts, posting 42 stops (30), including one for loss, two INTs and 14 passes defensed en route to Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention recognition after ranking 17th in the nation with 1.3 passes defensed per game. 

McCullough: Played four years at Ohio State, appearing primarily as the program’s long snapper…Handled long-snapping duties in 54-of-55 contests during his collegiate career, missing just one game due to illness…Was successful on 577 consecutive snaps and was named a finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as a senior, an award given annually to the nation’s top long-snapper, after tying a career high with 14 games played.

White: Played four years at UNLV, appearing in 43 games and making 29 starts for the program…Career totals include 201 tackles (124 solo), including 18 for loss, 3.5 sacks, nine INTs, 15 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and one fumble recovery…Named to the UNLV All-Decade Team at linebacker after finishing sixth in Rebels history in INTs and third in forced fumbles…As a senior in 2019, started all 12 contests and was named to the Butkus Award watch list, while being recognized as All-Mountain West honorable mention after posting 79 stops (54), including 8.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, there INTs, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Oakland Raiders Sign Olsen Pierre and Eric Tomlinson and Promote Nick Nelson

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agents DL Olsen Pierre and TE Eric Tomlinson and have promoted CB Nick Nelson from the practice squad, the club announced Wednesday.

Pierre, a 6-foot-4, 293-pound defensive tackle in his third year in the NFL, joins the Raiders having spent the first nine games of the 2019 campaign with the New York Giants. Pierre was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2015 before spending the majority of his rookie campaign on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad. He was later signed as a reserve/future free agent by the Cardinals in 2016 and spent three seasons (2016-18) on the club’s active roster. Since entering the league, Pierre has appeared in 33 games and made eight starts, totaling 50 tackles (35 solo), 7.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Tomlinson, a 6-foot-6, 263-pound fourth-year tight end joins the Silver and Black after appearing in three contests with the New York Giants this season and an additional two with the New England Patriots. Tomlinson was originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Houston Texans, where he spent all of 2015 and a portion of 2016 on the club’s practice squad before signing to the New York Jets (2016-18). Over his career, Tomlinson has appeared in 41 contests and made 31 starts, tallying 17 receptions for 194 yards and one touchdown.

Nelson, originally the club’s fourth-round selection (110th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft, re-joins the active roster having appeared in 11 games as a rookie, making three starts and compiling 17 tackles (11 solo), one pass defensed and one fumble recovery. 

Additionally, the Raiders have signed TE Paul ButlerLB Te’von Coney and OL Kyle Kalis to the team’s practice squad.

In a corresponding move, the team has released TE Cole Wick from its practice squad.

Oakland Raiders Announce Transactions

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed S Dallin Leavitt and TE Paul Butler from the practice squad, the club announced Monday. 

Butler was originally signed by the club as an undrafted free agent after participating on a tryout basis at the team’s rookie mini-camp this past May. A 6-foot-6, 252-pound tight end out of California Pa., Butler appeared in 33 games over four seasons with Vulcans, totaling 32 receptions for 381 yards, adding five scores. A native of Dubois, Pa., Butler has spent the entire 2018 campaign on the club’s practice squad after appearing in all four of the team’s preseason contests.

Leavitt, a 5-10, 203-pound rookie from Utah State, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May and has spent the entire season to date on the Raiders’ practice squad. Leavitt played two years at Utah State after beginning his career at BYU. His collegiate totals include 45 games played with 26 starts, 211 tackles (121 solo), seven interceptions, six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and eight passes defensed. A two-time Academic All-Mountain West Conference selection, Leavitt saw action in all four of the Silver and Black’s preseason contests.

In corresponding moves, the Raiders have placed CB Daryl Worley on the Reserve/Injured List and waived DE Damontre’ Moore.

Moore was signed to the club’s active roster as a free agent ahead of the team’s Week 14 contest. In two appearances with the Raiders, Moore tallied one tackle.

Worley, who joined the Raiders as a free agent in April, has played in 10 games with nine starts this season. His season totals include 33 tackles (30), one interception and seven passes defensed. Worley played his first two seasons with the Carolina Panthers and the third-year pro has recorded four interceptions in 41 career games.

Oakland Raiders Sign Three Free Agents

Poggi: Played four years at Michigan, appearing in 44 games with 17 starts…Made 13 starts at fullback and four starts at tight end…Totaled nine career receptions for 68 yards and two career rushing attempts for six yards and one TD.

Warren: Played three years at Texas, appearing in 24 games with nine starts…Rushed for 1,150 career yards on 204 carries, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt and recording 13 TDs…Also totaled 23 receptions for 242 yards and two TDs.
