Midfielder Alejandro Covarrubias received the ball in the middle of the field and attacked the center of the defense. Republic FC defender Nemanja Vuković stepped up to try to make a tackle in the box, but Covarrubias was able to slide a pass to Jamie Villareal on the left wing.
